Yeah pretty much the same roads at this stage. Well find out closer to the ride re road works etc as if the Twin Bridges road is cool we'll be throwing that into the mix too...one mint road when it's tidy.
Rest assured,little one,it'll be a mighty good route...now worries there.
BTW...the tail ender needs to stay the tail ender dude...'tis the whole point of there being one. Far less hassle as then we know who to look for therefore less bs'n around and waiting attempting to suss what the haps is...therefore giving us MORE riding time

True dat. Well then I won't volunteer cause I don't know what sort of mood I will be in. If I forget to take my meds i'll be going hard (well as hard as a itty bitty 600 can go with me riding it hahaha)

TL mate, I reckon it will be ideal for me to be the tailender for the faster group since I am still undecided whether to have my rear tyre replaced. It's currently got about 10-15% tread so I wouldn't wanna push too hard. It's also quite good to check out the Northland scenery.

and the other question was are we taking the same roads as the calliper hunt?? Cause if so i'll leave the bigger sprocket on cause it'll help in the tighter stuff but if it's more open roads i'll get shat upon.... (don't say it I won't get shat upon anyway)

Leave the bigger sprocket on. The twisties will easily exceed the number of straight bits.

What tyre you running? I would try to get another tyre for this ride If I was you, I dont think a sport tyre with only that much tread will last this ride.
From Aucks you will probably be riding about 600-800kms on the day.

Thanks for the feedback......I have had Diablo Corsa since new and it's lasted 7000km. After having a brief discussion with TL Rider, I am more convinced to get myself a new rear tyre. Better safe than sorry.......

yeh riding on near dead tyres (especially race ones ) can get a bit ... interesting. Especially if there is a wet patch here or there.

how do those corsa's stack up in the wet after a few thousand km?? I got about 6500 out of my racetech front and about 3500 out of the rear and they still gripped ok in the dry but got a bit loose in the wet near the end.

The fact that if we go through the Waipoura Forest, it can get extremely slippery and damp on the best days so I would STRONGLY suggest tyre replacement unless you wanna do some tank-slapping.

Corsa doesn't like the wet that much I reckon, I have to keep the throttle action real smooth going into the twisties. I have had bit of mini power slides lately on the dry days, kinda exciting...... if you know what I mean
