I had some of that and put it on my garden, my cat started to follow the line i had put down.....

The cat is only going back there because of it's own smell, (which you've now cleaned off the DVD player ).

I've heard that pepper can be used to keep cats away. Either sprinkle some around access routes to the bike, or maybe on a paper towel on the bike.

Probably end up being nicer to your paint work than some chemical spray too.

Ah, a quick Google for natural cat deterrants suggests hot pepper is used in gardens to stop cats digging, (so you don't get any little packages in your vege patch ), and it's good because it doesn't upset the chemical balance of the soil.

Hmm... here's an interesting one, cats don't like Essence of Orange. Apparently you can get it at the chemist without a perscription. Bonus is it'll smell nicer than chemical spray.

Yep, moth balls are reported as being good too, (but not in your garden).

Hmm... coffee grinds and garlic are also on the list.

I dragged out a thick woolen rug and put that over the bike cover so it overhung the headlight and top of the tank... she then decided that was OK but just for one day. I found her in the week curled up around my mirror. ANyway, I have had some luck. The landlord replaced my kitchen benches two days ago and these were dumped next to the pile of dirt I regularly dig up for her to use as she prefers that to the kitty litter inside. Shes now left 'her' bike for the benches and curls up on that. Normally she sleeps in the bedroom but the last two months has been really restless and doesnt like staying indoors. Just hoping the cold of winter will sort this out. No, I wouldnt shoot her in the butt nor keep her locked inside every night. Remember, this is the Beast of Berhampore and she has ways of really p'ing you off. Thanks for all the suggestions too.
