114km on the clock. I'm gonna go sit in a corner and cry. They're my dream road bike.

I have 50c in my pocket.

If we form a cartel, we could buy it.

    Then again, maybe not.

Have you seen that episode of 'The Simpsons' where Bart and Milhouse go halves on edition 1 of 'Radioactive Man'? I see that happening.

If we all put in $100 each. We could have like an RC45 timeshare.

And if someone scratches it, everyone else gets to scratch out their eyeballs with petrol soaked fingers.

Im going to buy it. But then while riding, I might wake up
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

I've got an RC46, but I'd like an RC45 too. And an RC30. And an RC51, and NR.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Yeah, and why suddenly has "Hondas are slow/crap/ghey" become "OMG I want this bike?"

Because this Honda is almost pure porn. (You need a '99 RC45 which has all the handling problems sorted out for 100% pure bike porn).

A simple google search can answer your questions:

It was as close to perfect as could be, but it could not win. Honda's pig headedness (A V4 is superior!) meant that they ploughed everything into it, and built art. But they could not replicate the success of it's daddy, the VFR750R / RC30. And could not beat some nearly bankrupt Italians either. High times at Ducati for sure, they must have been in shock for several years as they kept winning against the mighty big H.

    Oh yeah, and I'd like a pair. I have An RVF400, A RVF750 would complete that set :-) .
