    1990 Honda CBR250R for sale*SOLD*

Bike up for grabs again as of 03/04

As I've got my full licence I no longer have use for this bike
it's got a fair bit of fairing damage, mostly superficial scratches, etc.

The bike had been regularly serviced by Cyclespot Honda on the shore,With a fluid change taking place about 6/7 weeks ago along with a new chain.

The bike is not used for commuting purposes and basically only gets ridden over weekends and the occasional late evening ride.

It has a current WOF and Rego, I will however have the WOF renewed prior to sale as I doubt the front tyre would make it through again.

Sitting on approximately 45000k's . The motor starts first time and never skips a beat. It is an ideal beginners / learners bike as it is relatively smooth, nimble and reliable.

I'm looking at +/- $2200 for the bike however am willing to negotiate.

    I can be contacted on 021 124 4974 or at work on 09 523 8800 ex 9105

    alternately via e-mail : ryanthomas@orcon.net.nz

    regards
    Ryan

NIce bike mate, surprising price you are looking at
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

maybe you should get a ZXR, they seem to have a better record than CBRs...

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

The bike has got high k's and to be honest the fairings would need some work.
lets face it when you learning to ride, you need something reliable and it will be binned even if its a slow bin...I just figure this way why bin on something more expensive and better looking.

I completely agree. Just as an aside, I sold my CBR250R two months ago, similar k's, worse fairings (sides completely gone, front in not great condition) and I got $2250 on trademe. Just saying that your price, even for a dinged up bike, is sharp.

I wish you were down here in Hamilton I'm dying for one of these.

The bike looks great for the price. I saw a stripped cbr250rr with 80000k's going for 1800.

The fairing will need a bit of work, its held securely on the bike, but nothing that a fibreglass repairer could not fix...
This would set you back about $300-$400, however it would need to be resprayed which is'nt a major. The cost i think lies in the decals which are damn dear.

Looking at the photo, I would say that I could make those decals. Would not be dear from me....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
