I am looking at purchasing a helmet cam off a Christchurch Company ....Edit Works Video ... the NZ agents for Helmet Cam of Australia.

Apparently use the xtreme for helmet cam video for TV3.

You will want the mircophone,Remote control, Someway of mounting it (which seems completely lacking) and to check your cam-corder is compatible.

You will need AV inputs and a microphone jack, and very few are compatible with the remote control but that shouldn't be a deal breaker.

I would also ask to view some footage.....

Been and seen them in person, got all that sorted which makes pricing similar to the other places such as the helmetcamera.com.au stuff except the mounts. And i have also noted there is an agent for helmetcamera.com.au in New Zealand now too.

edit. woops, i just noticed Titanium mentions the ausy sites agents. Maybe i'll try get an in person look at their shop too.

I'd like one to have one as a witness "just in case" - considering the fact that if you crap off the bike trying to brake due to someone pulling out in front of you (but don't actually hit the bastard) the insurance company will call it a "single vehicle accident" and say "there is no proof that another vehicle was involved."

Anyone in Christchurch got one of the helmetcamera.com.au cameras?
I'd like to stick the Adventure Camera one i now have next to the Aus one and record some video with both at the same time to do a real picture comparison.
