I'm sure he does have a 'Desire' to win.
But Desire only does not a winner make.

He seems to me to be a good rider, a smooth rider, a Safe rider.

And 2nd place is fine,, if thats what you want.

I'll be starting my winter racing series again soon, and if I get a 2nd place I'll be rapted. But if I kept coming home in 2nd all season, someone come up and Slap me!
(just one person will be fine thanks. )

Any of the top 5 are good enough to win anytime they like...................if Rossi wasn't there.
He's from another world, he's got them beaten before the race starts and they know it.

He's a Settler. Happy to settly for a poduim finish. Sure he gave it one shot at the end, but it didn't stick, so he gave up,, again! He doesn't have the Rossi 'Drive' to be a winner.

    You heard it here first.
Bullshit. Seems Hayden is off to a better start than in previous years. And he has beaten Rossi once. He appears to be the best Michelin runner to take it to Rossi. Look at how far Melandri is off the pace so far this year. Hayden seems to be improving at a slow pace but he is still moving forward. Mid season will be more of a telling point for how each rider will perform but Rossi seems unbeatable already.

As for being sick of the Rossi favoritism so am I. I'm especially sick of the Rossi this an Rossi that from that Pommie Brown noser who thinks he's a commentator. But bagging world class riders such as Hayden ain't the way to sway opinion.

Your a racer RR so how would you like people slagging off at your efforts racing? As for continually coming second I can only dream of this, oh yeah

At one stage there were some on screen graphics of Rossi's and Hayden's braking and throttle application. It was a bit hard to follow for the short time it was on (I didn't tape it bugger) and you couldn't compare the 2 because Rossi was in front,so on the gas first etc.But you could see Rossi was harder and longer on the brakes, earlier and harder on the throttle than Hayden, you could also see his crossover where he had both applied at the same time.I would of thought ex dirttracker Hayden would of been the more aggressive with late braking and early with the throttle....but maybe he was tossing it in without brakes like a flattracker and could of been lighter but earlier with the throttle.

Virtual Spectator like they do with WRC would be good to see.Who taped that graphic????

    Armchair riders right I guess.

But I've put my intentions for the season out there in print,
and intend to get a Full Slagging off by you lot if I don't now come up with the resuilts.
All part of the motivation to not settle for 2nd.

The odds were in his favour, on his home track which no one else had ridden pretty much.

But is good to see the field keeping it interesting. 250s was better to watch though

    me no understand

well after 2 GPs, I think if i pick the winner of the next race it will be a lucky guess, the only consistent riders so far are hayden and capirossi, but how can you call it consistent after only 2 GPs. I'll be happy with any result as long as gibernau dont get anywere, I just dont like him, never have never will.
I'm off to the pub, I may be sometime.

yes,was a very good race.Pedrosa and Melandri had a awesoem battle for 6th and 7th rather dissapointed by Macro hopefully he will get up the top end of the top ten.Stoner did a awesome job getting pole position and winning for a lot of the race until Rossi opened the flood gates for the veterans.

The 125's was a good race Buatista kicked ass!! and in the 250s Lorenzo did it again

Yeah that was pretty cool and a nice addition for this year. I've always wanted to see some live telemetry stuff and the brake/throttle controls are great.
Is anyone a subscriber to the MotoGP channel on the MotoGP site. I see they have onboard versions of the race up there. Does anyone know if these contain onscreen telemetry as well?

i only watched it on the computer
    http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...motogp&pl=true
    yesterday.

The highlight of the race was seeing both race pedigree Suzuki's breaking down.
Once again, this form of motorsport is head and shoulders above anything else to watch. Formula 1 is constantly changing rules to make the racing more competative and interesting, yet all the MotoGP has to do is introduce a couple of 20 year old freaks to mix it up.

Pedrosa and Melandri, i could have watched them for 22 laps, but the front pack also had a few good pos shifts. Good on Stoner for leading the pack for so long in only his 2nd GP, remembering he only started racing the 125's in 2002. Endurance will come with experience. It wouldn't surprise me to see Stoner and Pedrosa both finish the season in the top 5.
