I'm not a mechanic but I might be able to help you diagnose the problem, shoot me a PM.

Any and all are welcome, if you know of other people on 250's mention the ride to them as well.

Stink I will be at port waikato on a rally. Would be a good ride for the scooter, not very twiste though.

Basically the only requirement is that they stick with the group otherwise they'll probably get lost.

Assuming the weather is not too bad I may make an appearance. I think a 10am start is certainly going to be impressive to make, especially to get all the way out there by then. You really are trying to get us in (our respective, individual, not all in the same) bed by 9pm on Saturday night? I also think that a 6 hour ride could be a little on the long side for me.

However, the Dannemora GP champion (since its inception in 06) backs down to nothing. Is there anyone from the Eastside Massif who wants to meet beforehand to ride out to the official meeting place?

No, read the original post for more information about the ride.

It clearly states any motorcyclist is welcome, however the ride is organised with 250cc Owners in mind.

Its more of a cruise though, no squidly didly racing my penis is bigger than yours bullshit.

Because we all know who is the fastest and has the biggest penis, don't we :spudbooge

Look like you have got yourself a great ride Swanny! Good organisition and prep, hope it all goes well for you.

PS Have you considered a plan of attack if someone comes off? Have you got someone with a trailer or knows how to deal with bins?

    Thanks.

Good point about the bins, I haven't given it too much thought, although I have ensured our van is available (I use it to cart my buckets around) incase someone breaks down or bins.

Medically speaking though, the best I can do is bring some duct tape.

Will need to give that one a bit more thought.

    Hi Folcan,

It is all in the original post:

Sunday 16th April 2006 departing Shell Westgate at 10:00am
Have a re-read or check out the calendar event as well. I'm estimating the ride time to between 4 and 6 hours with 4 stops. So this would mean we'd be back in Auckland around 4 - 5pm depending on how long we are at the stops.

I'm estimating the group to be between 10 and 20. The more riders the longer it takes to get everyone around. If there is around 10 - 15 I'm pretty confident we'll be back in Auckland by 5pm.

I checked out the roads again today and finalised a route. You relatively newbie riders are going to love what is in store and should feel spoilt.

80% of the route has virtually no traffic, is nicely sealed windy roads that go on forever. Stunning scenery.

Not sure if I'll make it or not. Just flown in from Europe and currently don't know my arse from my elbow, plus I haven't been on a bike in 5 weeks. I'll see how the jetlag's going by Sunday morning!
