    XL125s oil filters

How many oil filters does an XL125s have, is it just the one by the gear lever?
    How much oil, what grade?

As well as the mesh filter under the big cap, there is a centrifical filter on the end of the crank behind the righthand case.I doesn't have to be done very often, but if you don't know the history of the bike you better do it right now! Get a cover gasket incase you break the old one. They take about one litre of oil,but it should be written by the dipstick - check by just putting the dipstick in,don't thread it in.A 15/40,15/50 is good, synthetic or semi, change it often - otherwise it'll wear camshaft and rockers.

    cheers

I knew about the centrifugal filter, it was full of mud, I dismembered many sl125 type engines as a kid, but the split head cdi motors were too flash for me to be allowed.
I got caught with a CBX250 having 2 filters- I only found one, that cost me a crank and a conrod , I just was making sure.
You should see this bike its an XR200R/XL125s hybrid, what a mess!
How much water should be in the sump?, I got about 2 liters of oil and water mix. I thought I would give it a kick with no spark plug and got soaked with the water it sprayed out of the cylinder:slap: . Suprisingly enough it goes ok with hardly any smoke, I just cleaned the carb and I had to make a (temporary) carb spacer out of MDF, my mate dropped it around and challenged me to get it going. There was a crop circle on his front lawn within 1/2 an hour
