So the day started with a mountainbike ride thru Bottle lake where I well and truely (yet again) thrashed Kickaha and K14s arses.
Got back home just in time to meet up with everyone turning up at KB HQ about 12, with brenchch as usual running late.
There was Rashika, K14, Gav and Mrs Gav, Diesel pig, ZZR, 30UTD, SuziQ, not to mention the guests of honour Lou and Tracy. Bloody good to meet ya Lou and Tracy (sp?), excellant company, sweet sounding/looking bandit.
We headed of to lyttelton where we picked up this Guzzi sitting lonesomely in the middle of the roundabout at the end of the tunnel aka Skyryder. He begged and pleaded to join the ride so I said c'mon ya old bastard, keep up then![]()
Headed round the bays, up to the kiwi, and across the tops via the summit road to gebbes pass, dropped down to the main Akaroa highway and juiced the bikes up to a perfectly illegal legal speed limit.
Regroup at Little river, where Brenchch mounted his vcr (no NOT in that way) to the rear of his bike, then headed off up to the hilltop. I followed Brenchch in hot pursuit as he was on the back wheel, crashed back to earth and suddenly remembered he had put the vcr on. I swear I saw him stand up, turnaround, sat down, and re-adjust it, and then spun back around just in time before we hit the tight and curlies up the hill.
As I was travelling 2up, K14 decided he'd like to come so we both abused the shit outa bren in the view of his camera (I 've already had the shitty PM about it LMFAO)
Rather than take the normal way via Duvauchelles we took the summit road all the way around to akaroa.
Awesome views across the bays, both sides, very tight tricky wee road, poor old ZZR got a puncture and with a bit of difficulty we managed to get to Akaroa. Where the KB repair shop went into action, via a few instruction sheets (which were read then thrown away) and we managed to patch it up. Funniest thing was when ZZr released the CO2 into the tyre he yelped like a little school girl as the canister froze to his fingers (sorry mate...but it WAS funny!) We are all blaming Suziq cos she was the pillion and she shoulda warned him of the offending jagged stone.
Fish n chips, said our good byes and fkd off home.
Excellant day people, well almost...ZZR you have my sympathies.

Ohhh... yeah my pillion, well if he used that energy that he spent bashing the shit out of my back and yelling 'don't fuking do that' and held on... there wouldn't have been a problem. :spudflip:Originally Posted by Bren_chch

yup... but a lot less risk than getting on the back of the VTR was...Originally Posted by dangerous
At least the Guzzi takes a fair bit to wheelie, the VTR hardly seemed to touchdown MOST of the time![]()
