Sorry to see some members took your comments the wrong way but you should try out TM if you want real nutters and word wars. I am a newbie as well and have found that KB members are generally darn good folk and OK a bit harsh at times but thats the internet as someone said. Glad to see you are back. I came in to see you re the Gizxif600 and some tyres in New Years and heard about your crash. Folks, this man sold me my bike six months ago and was very considerate and gave me additional deals like three months warrantly. I am not trying to sell his workplace as I have since brought tyres etc eslewhere and I have no interest in where folks buy their bikes from BUT I do know a honest salesman ... then again do they exist?? Just joking P. Hes come clean and apologised so I cant see any sense in further poo dropping.
I am on holiday and reving to get some good rides in as the weather is suppose to come fine tomorrow. cheers all
Glad to hear you're gonna be able to get the time to ride a bit more.
Hope the GSX is still doing what you want from it.
I can't wait till I can swing a leg over a bike again, shouldn't be too far away now, even if I've gotta fit trainer wheels!
All I've gotta do now is convince my boss I'll bring it back in one piece....
Ride safe.
At least you have winter to get things sorted. Yes the GSX is great fun now I dumped those old 'original'? tyres. Been taking her around the Bays and Haywoods the odd weekend. Still only done 300 miles on her but thats all going to change later in the year and I head north to visit friends and family from BOP to North Cape. Will drop in one day and see you as I am curious about the center stand mounting been in place and the L bracket on the exhaust pile, and the fact that theres a center stand showing in a parts cat. so can you actually get one for the 600F's? Make life a lot easier. Cheers
Yeah I think your bike still had the genuine fitments on (IRC perhaps?)....not so great, especially as it gets colder and wetter.
From memory centre stands were fitted certain years in certain markets, but I'm (only semi) sure that the 'Katana' series you got never came to us with them fitted.
Give me a buzz at work when you get a mo, I'll follow it up for you.
I wouldn't mind betting we'd be able to sorce one from a wrecker for you rather than splashing out on a new one....bet it costs a mint.
I dont intend to spend anymore on the bike until later in the year as its cost me a lot to get new gear and tyres recently and yes I have been checking out local wreckers websites though at the end of the day theres a guy on this site whom makes and sells what appears to be very good 'paddock' stands for $120. Of course, having a center stand is useful when you arent at home and need to check the back wheel etc. cheers
Not at all sure that anyone else does either....Originally Posted by oldrider

Heyya Mate, Welcome to the site.
See you made a splash on your entrance lol
What is it about people that cannot accept a honest apology, sheesh.
I lurked for ages and still managed to fuck up and post in the wrong threads when I started here, and prob still do.
Now folks, not that this boy needs defending, however just for the record and somthing to ponder over....
One does not win national road race titles having small nads and no skillz. (all respect to Karin Pavich who does not have nads, but sure has the skillz)
Neither could one be accused of being a poor salesperson when they have set many monthly sales records at one of NZ's most successfull bike shops.
Not because they are slick brown tounged, but because they are straight up balanced individuals that have a lot of respect right across the full spectrum o Motorcycling genres.
Now mate, about suggesting my good mate McGovern is a bed shitter, I'm going to have to red rep ya for that one.![]()
Now bend over bad boy and take your medicine![]()
Rather continue to get slagged of here than accept that sort of punishment!
