Shit!!! And here I'm thinking being permanently hooked up to that old biker winter rally favourate, Stones Green Ginger Wine, was the way to go.

Oh and permanently smelling of bonfire smoke (after all real bikers don't bath or shower), burnt boot soles from standing far too close to said fire and riding a red ducati with a beer crate attached to the tail piece.

Biker.Just another name for motorcyclist, but used by many because it sounds "cooler",thats the reality of it boys and girls. There is no defenition of a "biker" except that which lives in the heads of some who ride.People who ride push bikes are refered to as bikers or cyclists [google it],back in the seventies it was bikeys remember, all thats changed is a letter. It,s just a word for another word.We ride motorcycles, we,re motorcyclists,or if you think it makes you feel a bit cooler.I ride a bike i,m a biker. There seems to be to much testostorone in the motorcycle world these days, just ride your bike and enjoy it for what it is without all bullshit that seems to go with it.

Or those who don't think it's cool to fall off a bike - are they not bikers either?

All interesting considering your earlier quote "we're all family"
I hear ya, and fair points.
But......who in their right mind would compare family and friends to bikes?
I was referring to true motorcycling enthusiasts choosing bikes above all other pass times as their main true passion.
You can take certain words out of certain quotes and turn them into whatever you want mate.
But show me where in my definition I state people that get into biking at an older age are not real?
I sell a shitload of bikes to guys and women that are just getting into it later in life.
I get a buzz out of getting them onto their first bikes.
Some stick with it and get better by the ride no matter how rough their introduction (the enthusiasts), some don't. (Not an enthusiast, even while still in possesion of said bike)
Some buy one purely for the image (Not one), and act like they've been riding all their lives.
I sure as hell don't think crashing is where it's at, but because my backround is racing it's part of it. I don't believe those that aren't into racing are not cool or less of an enthusiast, it's just what does it for me.
An enthusiast would have a 25 year old TS185ER tucked away that they got for $150.00 if he/she couldn't afford anything else rather than be told "you're not allowed a bike, we can't afford it"
Genuine motorcycling enthusiasts are all family, doesn't mean they always get along.
Last thing for today....if you people that go....."drop it"..."move on".....
Pah, you're like people that complain about Southpark etc.
    Just change the channel.
    I love these little sessions.
