Hell might even come myself if the weather is fine & i haven't got anything else booked.
My vote goes to No.3 option as then I can meet you all at Waihi.

Was talking to some friends already there last night and they estimate 700 cars already in town as well as a stack of bikes.

    Voted for option 3...but,
rode bike into work yesterday for the first time since re-torquing the head last week, and she's still leaking coolant.

it hasn't gone into the oil....yet. i'd hate to get all the way up there &have a 'mare getting back...
    dunno...

    been looking forward to this!

Mate you obviously havent ridden the bit between Waihi and Whanga.... the Karangahake Gorge is something into itself(but you gotta run the gauntlet there cos they lowered the speed limit to 80k...meh)

Can we reword the poll please? Option 1 should now be known as the 'soft option' and Option 3 'Giddy up'

    Mind you............

Built for speed, not for comfort

Mate. ridden the gorge manier times, and i would rather take that ride.... i am just mindful of the fact that whanga growsup to 70000 people ,in the weekend cos of the beach hop------ what road do you think they take???? only two roads into whanga!!!! do you wanna be stuck behind a mass of cars in the gorge" not me, and ofcourse the other factor is danger, in overtaking and people making stupid manouveres-- at least the other way in you have a chance of overtaking, (more straights etc)---and i think it will be safer--

    anyway food for thought--

however if we took off at say 7 in the morning there will be little traffic-- and than the road may be a good option--
