Looks like a great day, and I was stuck here at work.

yeah i had a ball, my first time out on a kb ride so it was great to meet some of you and watch the guy on the cbr 900 do some serious scraping,
For those of you that dont know who i am and who were on the ride i was the guy on the blue R6 popping all the wheelies. Anyway it was a great ride and i hope to go on many more rides with you folks.

Yeah gotta say what a frekin good day for a ride, rain and wind in Rangiora first thing this morning, had me wonderin if it it was going to be a goer.

Where is Autum? musta been about 24 degrees or so.

Great to meet some of the people of KB, even though names have almost gone from my mind, user names and real names makes it all a bit daunting.
Even though I was a quiet first timer, I had a great time and good to get a bit more time in the saddle of me Griso.

I will sure to keep an eye out for future rides.

    26* actually... the countrys high

awesome day, 1st up great to meet a few new faces.... includes T.W.R see I'm not such a wanker after all... but I am 1st to admit that I DO follow too close .... ohhh hell I'm a wanker too

Aaron sweet idea of yours to get a ride togeather today... mate that k6 600 of yours is the mutts nutts

The ride was as per you would expect with 17 odd bikes plus pillions.
However when we left Little river some dick mentioned about a LeMans start as we hit the hills see this thread for pic's http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...359#post587359

Up n over the hill and Bren myself the guy on the 750 SPARD (who were you again?) Yamama and Ham pulled up behind a copper.... It seemed that I was the only rider that thought fuk this and blew past him... what happened to you other lot, too chicken to pass a pig huh

A bite to eat at akaroa spin a bit of bull then we headed back leaving the Diddles and Co to head off south home.

Now it is kinda compulsary to stop in at the Wheatsheaf for a beer/coke and spin more bull, now it is also the place were we do most of our test riding on each others bikes.

Bren on the XB12 and tuono and Deisel Pig on the XB12, now its always funny watching people leave on the XB12 for the 1st time... so timid and un sure of a bike with such a difference... but on there return they are grinning ear to ear and screaming "fuk thats fun"
A classic example of this was deisel Pig check out the pic of his return dust n shingle in all directions

At this point we all went our separate ways and thats that

this morning ( probably because i washed it !!!) & sweating like a pig with all the gear on we all enjoyed the ride . jude reckoned she would never get on behind me on a bike but she did a really good job today, didnt like coming back round coes ford tho, straight roads, told to give it shit by the owner , who am i to argue ! good to finally meet you all, had a great day out .see you next time

    Thumbs up

It sure was a cracker alright, Great putting faces to the names as well and meeting some top guys an gals.
The roads were a mess on the way over with flooding, slips and general debris everywhere but improved heaps from Arthers pass onwards.
Had a little bit of drama just out of littleton on the return trip, The young chap on the GSF250 dropped his bike 1/2 way though an overtake, looks as tho it's more damage to his pride than to his body thankfully, The bike and gear will take abit more time to get sorted tho.

Anyway, Thanks for the invite and for putting up with me, Bloody good day it was.

    Cool

Well today was an experience that I am not sure I want to repeat - sorry DP. I turned up at the meeting point on the Aprilia (SR50), I think the odd person was worried I would be following the group!!!! I just wanted to see the bikes, take some pics etc. It was such a nice day I decided to see if I could find a comfy pillion seat. Dieselpigs Suzuki GSX1100 had a great looking seat. he said he would take me. The seat was comfy, the ride over was cool - scraped the centre stand both sides. Coming home I was scared, terrified. Now I am not a nancy girl and I have been on the back of my old 7560F with an utter maniac twistie demon (from Akaroa to CHCH) and enjoyed it, but DP was special. I now know why he has never had anyone repeat the pillion experience with him!!! I know he knows what he is doing, I know he rides well on the track, but I was scared. Went on the back of Adam_B's Ducati from the Wheatsheaf to where the scooter was aprked. A very different experience - feel the good vibrations!!!
Can't wait to get my bike back.

well its been said by everyone, but i just have to repeat it again... AWESOME day! :spudflip:

Started off playing tail end charlie to make sure we all got off alright... Its funny being at the back and watching the guys work their way thru traffic, and then having the fun of having to catch up
Decided to have a wee blat before Little river tho, hope i didnt make anyone nervous as the Buell blasted past... hehehe I think Dangerous was surprised to see me behind him tho....glad the cops were in front thats all I can say.

Then I had to play catch up again after taking some shots of the group before heading up the hill. Altho i must say the roads were surprisingly clear, think it was the best run I have had up and down there for ages, the cars musta scattered before the bike onslaught, great for me!
Caught a few by Barrys bay and then onto Akers, just a beaut trip, apart from the odd gust of NW wind trying to take me out.
Very nice to meet some of the newer folk, and some of the not so new, eh TWR
heres a few pics of the bikes on the road...
Please MR policeman he was just showing off, he still had his knees on the handlebars I SWEAR! eh DP?!

Looks like a good turn out. Pity I've been sick all weekend

Thanks to those who offered jackets for me to borrow too Just a shame I wasn't going anywhere in my current state (I'd probably ride straight off the road! Damm fever)
