WTD: suzuki rear shock

Has anyone got a late 80's to early 90's GSXR750 shock or a Bandit 1200 shock sitting around that you want to get rid of?

I'm looking for a cheap upgrade for my bandit 400, the rear shock is pretty soft, even with the preload cranked all the way up the rear laden sag is 60mm.

hmmmmm... tried the wreckers???? Or some bike shops... badit 1200 owners quite often whack in a ohlins rear shock, so there must be a few around...

Im Changing the shock on my racebike gsx400, Im not sure about the conditionas it was leaking some oil, might not be much to do to it, its yours if you want it.
Be a couple of weeks away though

Thanks for the offer, but I think the gsxr400 shock is the same as the bandit 400 shock. What kind of shock are you changing to?

I phoned around then went and had a look at a few wreckers, Atomic wreckers had a 1990 GSXR 1100 shock, but it turned out the lower linkage was an eye thing instead of a bracket.
City Motorcycle Spares also had a GSXR 1100 shock, but this one was different, it had the bracket type bottom linkage.
Action Bike Wreckers had a 1998 GSF1200 shock, but it was slightly shorter than the GSXR shock and I don't think it was as adjustable.

So I ended up getting the GSXR 1100 shock from City Motorcycle Spares for $350 which is more than I was hoping to spend, but since the other two shops were asking $300 for their shocks, I guess it's a reasonable price.

I'll have to remove a bit of material from the mounting points on either or both the shock and the frame/cussion lever to get it to fit. I've posted on www.banditalley.com to check what another guy did when he installed a GSXR 1100 shock before I go grinding the new shock.
