Talking Well hell I think I got it licked!

Or have I spoken too soon.
Today I have been smoke free for two weeks, 14 days, and god knows how many minutes and hours - with the assistance of the patches.
After 26 years of smoking I honestly didn't think I was ever going to be able to do it - and to be honest I was bloody scared to previously.
But boy its so much nicer to breath in and not have a chest hurt, to run around the badminton court and not got too puffed. And you know what I even know that I don't smell anymore.
All the better to be here - aye. Well done to me. He he.

NOW IF ONLY YOU CAN STOP SMOKING THOSE PATCHES!!

Seriously - good on ya. You got a ways to go yet but keep it up you're going well. The best part about quitting I liked was the taste of things.
Nicotine is an appetite suppressant so make sure you get some excercise or keep the deit in check otherwise you may experience weight gain.

One thing I do notice is that the slightest sniff of smoke will make my mouth water, but any more than that makes me feel sick. Is that weird or what? I've heard that you never actually give up smoking, you just have a lot more control over the urge.

Very well done, congratulations. As an ex-smoker I feel I can say - Yay! You no longer stink!

Commit to memory how you crap you felt while smoking in comparison to now. This'll help to not give in to any urges should they arise in the future. (smoking you perverts)

Everytime I try to quit I wreck my bike wich drives my stress levels up again and I start smoking again. Tells me one of two things, keep smoking or give up riding. Guess wich one I'll choose lol.

Anyway, congrats on your 2 weeks. Keep up the good work.

the worst thing about trying to quit smoking is you can smell another smoker smoking a kilometre away.

i remember sitting in traffic on the motorway smelling a smoker 4 cars ahead of me.

but if you have gone two weeks you are definitely through the worst of it.

most important thing - dont give up. just one ciggarette will bugger you and you will have to do it all over again.

well done. i wish i had the same fibre!
    gone.
