And as hondaV2 found out - if ya spew in your tent it freezes solid and you can flick the 'pizza' out in the morning.

O the good old days when enough was enough when you passed out.

But yes is was cold, cold enough to freeze a fuel line on some ones bike and split it. SIWT
We had a tarp over our bikes and still got a inch of frost on the bike seats.
And a lot of bikes would not start because the batteries in the bike's were so cold the the voltage drop was to much to get them to fire up.
So if you can expose your battery to the sun (if there is any) and let it warm up a bit before trying to start your bike if it does not fire up straight away. Or wait for the quad with jumper leads to help you start your bike before you flatten the battery.

Must be a lot of fishermen at the Brass Monkey too.

That's why I put SIWT, So I was told.
I did see frost on fuel lines but none that had split.
    They were furry and white.

You don't have to be a fisherman to tell porkpies you know.
A few motorcyclist I know do a fairly good job of it.
And when you put a drink in their hand all hell breaks loose.
They are wasting their time in there 9 to 5 job, I can tell you.

Today I was talking to a person that has family down there.

Well they have had one morning of ........ wait for it......... -12C already.
And ice was around the edges of the lake. I say "was" because they then got a nice day or two that melted the ice.
They are talking about doing some Curling this year.
