It's been awhile since I have been there, will be interesting to see the old place again.Originally Posted by Transalper
SDU has never been there and has heard about the place so for her it is a must stop and see. So if we do not meet up at the start or see you on the road, we will catch up with there, I guess.
Just finished painting my modified Ventura pack rack put the rocker cover back on after a leak, so apart from maybe a oil change and a test ride, we are ready to go. I think?
Feel the fear and do it anyway
Don't confuse education with intelligence.
There are alot of highly educated idiots out there.

from rally site to kaikoura
and kaikoura to picton
we have ferry tickets for monday 10am. so a big ride from the site heading north, and then a medium ride to the ferry.
but whats the kms like from one destination to the next also travel times approx.
any idea guys?
You might find this of some use. sorry but i cant tell you from experience.

We are currently planning to meet up with flyingduchman at the rolleston BP and travel with him too.
What time do you recommend?
We are leaving at 5am because we have to cross Arthers and Porters pass. Anything can happen with the weather up there so delays are more than likely.Originally Posted by paturoa
What i was thinking of was if we had a good run we could wait at Rakia for you guys, It wouldnt be worth you guys waiting for us tho, especially if the weather gods dont like us very much.

I think it is but not by too much, the roads are better for winter riding and my off sider is worried about his fuel range issues going the other way.Originally Posted by paturoa
