May be a slight change of plan for me.

My off sider has just destroyed his clutch on the way home from work today, He's now looking at flying into Dunedin saturday morning and buying a new bike so my hours of travel may have moved forward an hour to 4am so i can meet him in Dunedin. I'll let you know if i wont be in Rakaia for a hook up.

Just in case it all turns to custard for him, Is Rakaia the better place to meet or is there a better spot elsewhere?, bearing in mind in traveling from the coast.

Latest weather forecast still shows mild temperatures on Saturday, with possibly a light frost in the morning. There is a chance of rain overnight saturday-sunday, but it will pass through quickly and Sunday should be clearing weather.
    Time to ride

The guys from Ashvagas ( Honda Country crew, Jeff Marshall M/C crew & associates) probably 30 odd bikes all up are leaving at 9.30am (confirmed).

If leaving Rolly BP at 7am then you'll be well ahead of them but guaranteed they most likely roar past at some stage if ted, ralph & bp have anything to do with it, watch for a RC45,K5 20th ann Gxer, silver/blue busa, GSX14, GS12 etc

OK, I'm all set to go. Everythings packed and ready, the weathers looking great, heading away as planned at 1130 tomorrow.

I wonder how Paturoa, TIE and Shayne got on with the ride from AK today.

Paturoa called me from Taihape at around 1pm today. They were behind schedule (plenty of time for their fairy though) and were heading straight through to Welly from that point.

Welly was very mild today, should have been a smooth sailing. No with plenty of on the way over??

Just checked outside, clear sky, stars for miles -5 C and getting crisp.
We might just be lucky and have cold Brass Monkey after all. Enjoy!

Really They're not ghey are they? If they didn't shag around with the fairies then making the ferry in time really wouldn't be a problem.

Nice and warm here, +9.5 outside at the moment.

I'm pleased that the weather is looking fine for the weekend, but also a bit disapointed in a way, I was kinda looking forward to riding through a scenic MacKenzie/Haka Pass in the snow. Would've been cold, but good to see.

Good morning and good day, all packed and ready to go this morning around 10ish. I have to spend an hour at work this morning which is a pain, but has to be done.
By the looks of this forum and the odd few bikes on the road, it is likey there will be a couple of tents at the monkey over the weekend.
Hope the roads are good and everyone makes it in one piece.

    Enjoy yourselves!!

woodybee, big 40 on the brass monkey weekend

1st time I've logged on so here goes..................

Me..... I'm jan a UK import whose has done 5 rallies this year on the back of my mates Ducatti, and just waiting for my Triumph Bonny (coming from Texas!) to fall into my arms in Mid June, so alas for Yorak, I'll be in me Car for my 1st BM, Sob Sob! :-( .....look out next year though, as the brit arse will be sitting on my Bonny for sure.

Cant wait to get my boogy shoes on and down as many beers as is physically possibly with some fellow bikers. So too Dangerous and all the Christchurch crew, not long now...................................

So from me to all you guys out there in biker heaven, "Party on this weekend"

    Jan ......Yee Har
