I payed my 50 bucks, my pillion and I are looking forward to the trip, Heading down to say Oamaru on the Friday and stay the night, then head on to the rally in the morning of Sat.

Looking forward to hydrating around the fire.

    Q
    That's what we are doing.
That is SDU DR650 (blue) Green Meanie KLX400 (green) and Me on a KTM640 (orange)
So keep an eye out for trailies on the road, we should be able to spot your bike as you pass us.
We are stopping often for SDU to rest (RSI) and the hard seats and small fuel tanks we have.
So if you want stop on the out skirts of a town and we will stop for a coffee?
We plan on stopping every 100 odd k's from ChCh.

It looks like we are going to have a good size crew from KB.
Maybe it will pay to meet up so we can set up camp in the same area, so we can tell lies and fall over and pinch fire wood and a drum.
So DD are you coming as well on the Kat?
I use to have an 81/82 Kat 1100 about 16 years ago that I rode and raced (ouch showing my age).
Feel the fear and do it anyway

K14 and I will be there around lunch time. My favourite camping spot is on the flat piece of ground 200 m south of the main area. its close enough toi the main fire to enjoy the entertainment, but far enogh away that you don't have too many drunken bums tripping over tent ropes etc,

I'll try to keep anough area free around that part for KB tents.

Should I make up a KB flag of some sort, or is that too wankerish? Then again a quick walk around should spot the RE5 pretty quickly.

The RE5 will be parked in the bike show area, Look for a GS1200SS with a GIVI rack on it.

Good I know the spot I think.
I do not know when we are turning up as we are going though the Danseys Pass.
I hope it will be between 12 and 2 O'clock, as I said we will be on 3 different trail bikes so should be easy to spot as well.

Well I'm keen to carry out some socialising on Friday night.
I've read Kurow and Oamaru so far - both sound good.
When someone makes some definite plans I'd be keen to see about catching up.
