A bit late for it now at 8.24, lol... would have been not a bad day for a ride.

I did the leader loop on Saturday morning, it was brilliant. A work colleague suggested the road would be good fun on a bike, he was right.

Was a great ride, great weather, road was dry as a bone all the way. Only small problem was the air temp, didn't notice it anywhere except my fingers, (really need better gloves).

I'd say yesterday you'd had had even better weather.

Was a bit cautious round the leader road as (aside from it being my first time) traction looked like it could be affected by the dirt/dung ground into the seal. Also spots of grit to combat the ice, but these were nicely sign posted.

And thanks to the cagers, as I got back onto SH1 a few oncoming cars flashed their lights at me, I took the hint and slowed, none to soon too, tucked in behind a telephone pole he was...

Very impressed with the GSX-R600, it handled the trip very nicely. Took exactly 4 hours non stop, (well a 2 minute stop just to top up on gas at the Culverden straight).

So how did it go Busa? The Leader is a good road.
Was sorely tempted to pm you when it turned out such a good day Monday. The fun side of my brain was saying DO IT but the half that should be obeyed was saying "You've work to do on your peony block."
As it was it was a ride up the Ashley Gorge road to get to my block so wasn't all bad When I was done I ran on through the Waimak' Gorge for dinner with my daughter in Chch and then early home to beat the frost. Was on the cold side though. R6 usually runs at an even 80oC but Monday only sat around 73oC!
