While I was chatting to Kerry (as u do) he said that he'd give a 10% discount on anything, to anyone who says that they read this here. Up to the Thursday b4.
My rear tyre is borderline for the a return trip and is shite in the wet, so I'm tossing up, new boots, new tyre, new boots, new tyre?
New Boots? New Tyre?
Both.![]()
Time to ride
new boots & new tyre = new wife?
new boots and no new tyre = new husband for my wife?
thats a hard choice to make. but keep some spare bags on the trip and go with new tread.
snow seal the boots, oven worked well for me. on a warm heat, don't want to cook them now. also the woman was not to impressed.
there was a post before you can pick up some over boots, they work kinda well a pain but they help keep the water off. save ya money and get some boots for another day.
go with safety.
then again I could get both!
OK, I'm booked in with two others at the Leviathan in Dunedin for the Friday night before the Monkey.
We're people of little imagination I'm afraid so our plan at this stage is to head into town and proceed to engage in activities of an inebriating nature.
It's a good and simple plan I think and unlikely to change.
...she took the KT, and left me the Buell to ride....(Blues Brothers)

I gave them a good scrubbing with hot soapy water on sat arvo and they spent the nite on the hot water cylinder. Anyway the boots just soaked up the sno seal, particularly into the stiching.
Our crap weather gave the boots a good test his morning on the way to work. All warm and dry.
Also got some polyprops (as suggested by Kerry at Motohaus - his 25th BM this year - silly bugger). Dam, I'm a good looking hunka man in those - not! My missus just lol.
I got myself a neck warmer last year - it wasn't the best but it made a huge difference. I think I'll be getting a decent one this year + lots of polypro + PVC pants. Got decent water proof boots (they handled 7 hours of west coast rain and my feet stayed bone dry and toasty warm (the rest of me was soaking wet and cold).
