    Hmmm. A skills refresher course sounds like a good idea. Don't know if I'm interested though in the hard-core track stuff. Or necessarily hanging around with a bunch of newbies. But something in between (cornering and braking skills mostly) would be an idea.

    Paul --mate your OLD fat bike would show up younger guys on soposedly quicker tackle.
    Hitcher--Um given the level of interest I suspect I may have to run a upskills course as well as a newbee course

    Hmmm! Looks like H and I need to find a quiet bench under a shade tree away from the riff raff with a handy supply of refreshing beverages and a fine view of procedings where we can sit back and offer encouragement to all and sundry while exclaiming loudly "of course in OUR day" and stuff like that.

    Frosty -- A high-quality up-skills course would be well worth a ride to and from Taupo. Even better if you could organise a bit of rain during the day...
