30th April - Auckland to Taupo - Elephant Run

Anyone keen on a ride to Taupo?

PLAN: Meet at AutoBahn at 7:15am. Leaving at 7:30 to meet up with Hamilton ride at around 8:45 ish.

And head back from Taupo to Auckland with goal of reaching Auckland around 7pm. Please bring gear that is water proof and also clear visors as you'll be riding in the night on the way back. We'll most likely go back via a different route.

For those who needs it my cellphone is 029 2410185

FYI We'll be going off SH1 at Taupiri (After Huntly) into Gordonton Road and into Hamilton.

Leaving Auckland around 7:30am, will be taking the more interesting routes and staying off SH1 as much as possible. With view of getting to Taupo by 11am for the prize draws.

Will be a cruise (med) and will suit most riders. Doesn't mean we'll stop much thou... its about riding!

I'm keen to do the ride as well but will also depend on real-life™. I'll make a call on it on Friday.

My brother and I are going round East Cape this weekend and since we're in Wairoa for Sat night, we'll probably head to Taupo in the morning but join up with some of you guys for the ride back up.

Arrow Track session times for Elephant Run

Hi All - have just spoken to Auck M/C club who are organising the track sessions, and they are planning on two 15 min sessions, costing $20.00 ( for both, not each) Times will be approx 11.00 am and 2.00 pm depending on how their race schedule progresses.

Yea... might be a good idea to join up with the Hamilton ride on the way down... and then we can take another way back up

    Plan is brewing.....

If we were to be in Hamy by 8:45. When should we leave AutoBahn? 1 1/4 hour to Hamilton?

So I gather it's a 7am meet for a 7:30 departure from the Autobahn, Papakura.

Hey Forbes & Davies - are you absolutely sure about those track sessions being available?? Will riders still be allowed out if it's wet - or will the sessions be cancelled??
