Every year a bunch of students and young lawyers put on a piss-taking production/show at Vic Uni's Memorial Theatre. It's called the Law Revue and it's got jokes, skits, singing and dancing and bits of really bad acting.
We need a handful of people to join the backstage crew. The show runs for 3 nights: 8, 9 and 10 June. The crew help set up the theatre the weekend before - rigging set, lights, sound gear etc. Then during the rehearsals and actual performances the crew are waiting backstage ready to move scenery around during scene changes. After the final show on Saturday night, we clear out the theatre and go to the all night after party, which usually finishes with an enormous brunch on Sunday morning.
The people involved are good value and between now and the performances there are lots of get togethers for dinners, drinking, god-awful karaoke etc etc. It's always a lot of fun.
So if you don't mind a bit of heavy lifting, you have some spare time, or you're quite creative and are interested in helping build and/or artistically paint some of the set - please PM me.
On the other hand, if you just want to watch, I'll be selling tickets soon!
