Arrow UPdate on Track Session times

Hi All - have just spoken to Auck M/C club who are organising the track sessions, and they are planning on two 15 min sessions, costing $20.00 ( for both, not each) Times will be approx 11.00 am and 2.00 pm depending on how their race schedule progresses.

Righto. Only showers forecast for Sunday now. So far there's me Deano, Tazman, and Flame going. That's not many considering how many of us ride around here. Going to be a good day don't miss out.

    0730 meet time

Right for those who are going (prob me and Deano) its now 0730 meet at Pauatahanui inlet. Forecast is showers clearing so it wont be too bad. Folks are going from AK, Hawkes Bay, and Hamilton so lets not make Welly look like a bunch of pussies and get some numbers up there.

    See you all there

On SH1, I have a constant fear of HP. And I think I am right too. Desert Road I saw two HP on the way up, on the way down I saw two HP on the side of the road having pulled cages over. Between Hunterville and Mangaweka I saw 2 HP.

One was a bit daft, he was on the other side of the road, radar on, probably pointing backwards. I was following a car with a crappy trailer doing 110. I go past the HP guy, he's not looking up. Now if there is a candidate for a ticket, it's car with the crappy trailer doing 110, as it should be doing 80. But because he wasn't looking up, he missed out on the ticket. Or at least remiding the driver in a friendly way that they should be doing 80, especially with a trailer as crap as that. By not looking up, that guy wasn't making the fullest contribution to road safety he could.

Actually, I made better time on the way back. I got the the supermarket around the corner from my house at 8pm and left Taupo at 4pm.

Took me 4.5 hours exactly from Pauatahanui to the track on the way up. Including 15 minutes of thumb twiddling in Foxton while I let some chain lube set.

Speed limits 90 now for a trailer dude. Sorry, just knit picking. How does the new track stack up by the way?

Meh, ticket the fool for having a trailer. They are nearly as bad as caravans and campervans.

Apparently, it was the 'OLD' track. Buggered if I know. The surface is awesome. SOOO short a track. It was like racing around a big carpark. Wonderful, almost dinky little thing.

I was just getting up to speed too, but alas, only one go. I really really want another go at that track.
