Dont know for sure but the cart...I mean oil companies set the price based on what price they bought the oil for. It could be that we are paying for oil they bought weeks ago.

Using that logic there would be no increases effective the day after a barrel price rise.....
    Oil companies are just profiteering
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Why do oil companies need to buy oil?

Oil is brought as a commodity, 30, 60, 90 and 120 days out - sometimes longer depending on how the oil company is hedging.

Check out the arcapealago (not even gonna try spell it right) it's fantastic. Also the royal castle and such are great attractions (not to mention the girls). Word of caution, watch out for the snus, the bloody stuff will put you on your ass!!

Isn't the price related to demand and right now China is wanting more and more? That means that supply is tight so it costs more (profiteering statement comes to mind here).

Personal rant is that this is the fault of capitalism and public companies. All any public business is interested in these days is money and lots of it. Seems almost reasonable given the price of fuel!!
