yeap im getting the hang of it slowly, completed up to "hold the line" of the training.
I had to skip the burnout one as after a few tries i just couldnt figure out how the hell i was supposed to complete it...... can pull a burnout just fine, can sorta sustain one by tapping the front brake key but as soon as i cross the line it says i did it wrong?
what am i missing here? or do i need a touch sensitive controller?
Also i'd be keen to try a few testing runs to get the network side of things working, i could host a game after some router fiddling but wont be able to have many outsiders join (due to lack of upload, 3.5/128k adsl with orcon).

The burnout one shouldn't be too hard, iirc you just start the burnout with the front brake and throttle before the line, then tap the front brake so you keep moving forwards.
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
Finally got my copy today so I've been practising with different bikes etc. I like the 4 strokes better. Haven't started a career yet, will do so soon.
Once I get the hang of it etc I'll be all up for it over the net

The slalom one after that is where I've given up
Eric - I'll put you out of your misery.
Here's a zip file, which contains the NO-CD patch and the hacked motogp.cfg file, which gives you all the tracks, bikes, etc...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
to date i havent heard of anyone that has beaten the slalom... i almost did but i only did 2/3 of it then rushed to the finish - hit zero just as i met the line so i figured i needed to be quicker at the start but i cant be bothered. One thing to remember is to stay on your first season in career as that is where you create your rider/bike combo - after season one you only earn championship points not rider credits, effectively your bike at the end of season one is your bike for the rest of the game unless you start over.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

That's good to know, maybe I'm not so hopeless then.
I think I'll just concentrate on racing rather than doing the training tests.
Any chance of naming the track we'll be using now so we all get a chance to learn it?
I think I'm going to need all the help I can get to stay on the track...
i've been checking out the fan sites for MotoGP2 on the net, seems there are may be new tracks available but in my experience running mods it has caused the game to crash.
Will try to add a poll so we can decide on a start date.
