haha, i raced on my mates computer on the weekend. Having the extra computing power really does help. In 4hours i did what took me two weeks to do on my computer at home. Aswell as progressing to 'Champion' level and managing to win a race

not to mention the fact that it looked awesome!

Really looking forward to this, will be really good fun.

Tuesday 16th will be pre-season warmup. Will probably try out Valencia and Saschenring(sp)... but i will leave it up to who ever ends up showing up.

I might have to give it a miss as it's my sisters bday and i dont know what the plans are yet.

Please make sure you have GameSpy installed and working so you can test it out on this date. Only trouble i have had is that sometimes opponents bikes will stay static on the line, and they will see you doing the same (not all oponents only some) however at the end of the race it should still compute the scores/times/places right.

gareth - a free hint - don't leave up to other people to make up their mind on the night - utter chaos will reign. Tell people what they are doing, and ignore the whiners. The whiners are usually people who never organise anything anyway and like a psychic leech draw any good karma away from a great idea.

    Why do we need gamespy?
Can't someone just create a game and people connect to it?

i think its easier to start one up through gamespy.
although if someone has an IP and posts it, cant be too hard to join.

    what port does it use?

Where is that hag boy mental-trousers? If we all meet in chat and start a #motoGP2 line, then we can sort it out in there.

Basically it is easier to use GameSpy, but if someone with broadband can host a game (i havent been able too) then that could be a go.

I've done a bit of online racing and generally speaking home broadband doesn,t have the upload capacity to maintain more than 3 or 4 connections reliably, even cable.

Most of the gmaes I play are hosted by an enthusiast who works for an ISP (Inspire) in Palmy. I will see if I can get some space for MotoGP2.

It's really just a kiwi thing. Blame Telecrumb and their cr@ppy 128Kbps (roughly 14KB/s) upload limit. How they can call it broadband is beyond me

Anyways...can someone PM me a download link for it?

first practice is tonight. Just got news that we will be having the event hosted via an ISP so

If we all meet in the KB chat room at 7pm, i will setup a game on GameSpy with a password so that we can all join and give it a try.

So whats the happs for this tuesday, are we still on for a starting race, after our poor attempt to try and host on gamespy (dam firewalls) lets hope this week will be better. I nearly had a race with slingshot but got disconnected by the retard that was hosting on gamespy, didnt want to get owned by a couple of kiwi's me thinks

Look foward to this weeks match up though, if we can get the technical issues resolved with hosting, and a few more ppl wouldn't go a miss to.
