Anyhow, if people spent less time looking at their speedos, fiddling with stereo's, texting, eating and drinking, daydreaming and dawdling along And more time checking their mirrors and reading the road right - The roads would be a lot safer.
I love the smell of twin V16's in the morning..

Its all well and good to blame my driving... I am not a self confessed car driving genious like so many of you people out there seem to be and I know that motorcyclists have a better feel for roads and are much more aware of whats going on, thats why most of us are still using this forum and are not dead..

But i consider myself to be a fairly adequate driver... And much better than some. All i am saying is that if i find this then what would other people find? For you guys who jump into different cars on a regular basis thats awesome that you can judge speed better than I. I feel really happy for you. Ecstatic even.

This actually brings to light another point... All male (Sorry to be sexist) drivers that i know consider themselves to be an excellent driver. Failing that all of them think that they are at least above average. Even some of those guys on britains worst drivers consider themselves to be not that bad.

My Point: If all males think that they are above average, and at least half are below average, then there is a gap in skill compared to percieved skill for at least half of males.

I am a male driver... I would consider myself to be safe on the road, but i would probably say that in terms of actual driving skill and vehicle control, i am below average. My saving grace is the fact that i ride bikes and so i am aware of almost everything that is around me.

Does anyone have any answers to my last question??? About the headlight flickering device?

I do not place myself in the 'above average' catagory - more like 'adequate'
Plus I'm probably a shitload older than you.

Search under 'headlight modulator' and you my well find out about your headlight flashy gizmo thingy.

The corollary to constant speedo checking is the halfwits who decide it's all a bit risky to stay at 100 km/h, so they do 85. (just to be safe)
Still, I ride a bike = no traffic hold ups.
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.

Can't figure why so many whinge about speeding fines. Its not like no one knows of the consequences.

They are all such fabulous drivers NOTHING will ever happen to them, coz they are bullet proof and can do what they like.

They like to speed, so must like to pay the consequences when caught? They keep on doing it and keep on paying Uncle Helens tax, so it must be true...

    Keeping us gainfully employed....

We put them off the streets, judges let em out again...

Get lucky and send someone to jail? Well... serve one third to one half of your time, you're on the street quick smart too... coz the Justice Dept says they have to be. WTF?????

Sentenced to 10 years? Out in 4 to 5... every time...

Lose your licence for whatever, no time off for good behaviour, serve it right until the last day... should be the same in prison too...

    It's called the legal system.

I can't figure why so many cops whinge about people getting let out of prison early. Its not like no one knows how the system works.

Why is it that people like you are so desperate for an early death? Is it because you dont have a girlfriend? cos your mum hits you? cos of small genitalia? I am genuinely interested to see why.

Also its a common misconception that people who speed in everything they drive are hard. In reality they just think they are while putting the rest of us in danger and paying stupid amounts of money to aunty helen because they cant learn a lesson.

Well thats great that someone out there is realistic about their driving. Also age does count for something, and nothing makes a better driver than hours on the road but I have met a sh*tload of 'mature' drivers that don't have any clue what they're doing.

For instance my boss thinks that he is a great driver... Yet when im with him he:
    - Drives too close to other cars
    - Drinks coffee and eats lunch while driving with his knees at highway speeds.
    - Talks on his phone/txts all the time while driving.
    - Moans about other drivers on the road
    - Moans when someone who has right of way turns in front of him.
    - Moans when someone who is driving carefully around roadworks goes the speedlimit.
    etc etc etc

Scares the sh*t out of me every day.
