    F/S. GPZ500s or Trade - KR150

For sale: 87 GPZ500s twin cylinder four stroke.
Reason for sale: to free up cash to buy another motor for my racing KR150.
    Price: $2000

This bike has just had a maintenance 'Birthday'.
63000km on the motor. No timing chain noise. Have adjusted valve clearances, check compression (155/160psi), changed oil and filter. Cleaned out carbs.
This motor runs sweet, and is ready for it's next 60 000km I'm sure!

    Good points:
New air cleaner, New oil and filter, New Spark Plugs, New battery, New mirrors, Plenty of tread on both tires, CENTER STAND! Full Clymer Service and Repair Manual. Reg till 20/07/06, WoF till 15/10/06, Good torquey motor, Ave 20km/Liter, Starts first time every time, Plenty of parts around for these should you need them.

Bad points: (just so you know)
Paint work is a bit scratched here and there, fuel tank has had base repaired on both sides. But stand back 5 meters and the bike looks good. Has had a patch to repair under one muffler. Headlight does not fit like an original, but works fine.

Good commuter/ tourer/or back road scratcher for the money!

May trade KR150 (broken or not) as part payment.
May list on Trademe next week. Offered to KB'ers first.
Possably bring to Taupo on the 7th if your interested. Would like you to see it before closing a deal.

    Cheers
    Racey.

    Good luck on the sale.

Bike goes well, in pretty tidy condition.. even though Racey didn't really open her up on our ride, it goes well (sorry couldn't hear it over my twin thumper, but I bet it sounds good to =)

If I'ld had my leathers on I might have kept her going to see what she would do along that straight. But as my leather were getting fixed, and I only had jeans that day, that speed was good enough for me.

Hope to get another ride in with you before I sell it. Do you have Mondays off work?

This bike is still for sale if anyone needs a cheap'e.

Could ride it up to the track day this Sunday if anyone wanted to see it.

Have brought new KR150 motor now so trade for one no longer a option.

good little bikes these, we rebuild one, put a gpx rear wheel/disc on it, to upgrade the drum rear brakes.

Was thinking about what to do to the wee beast to improve her.....
tbh, im not worried about the rear brakes,
new rubber is ordered along with a new chain and brake pads.
Other than that its perfect for the purpose (my mate's first bike).

yeah i am sure you can go to a 140 rear tire on it, factory it was like 120-130.

we tried a 150 but it was to wide, and the front works best with a 100 if i remember from top of head, was like 4 years ago we had our one

other thing is make sure you chain oil at least every 5000kms,
