Thumbs up MR Ride - Sat 06/05/06

MR Ride on Saturday the 6th of May 2006

    Hey all,

A lot of you might not know that I used to organise BIG massive hugely successfull rides (48 bikes in total) in KB a while back.

Although, I am not really expecting large numbers on this one, it would be good to meet some new and old faces this Saturday.

The pace of the ride is irrelevant, as anyone is welcome to come along. Like always, I will personally hang back and make sure no one is lost by stopping at every intersection etc.

This is not a race. I am organising this ride, to hold a fun social event where we have an oppertunity to meet people while riding our bikes!! I'd kindly like to ask everyone who's coming, to ride at the pace you are most comfertable in and just have fun!

When? Saturday the 6th of May.
Where? The infamous SH22. Lunch at Hammy, then back through SH22 To Auckland.
Meet up? 9:30 AM @ Papakura Autobahn.
ETD? 10:00 AM (No later guys and gals!).

    So... Who's keen??

The slow Indian fella - that's who's keen.

By the way I hope you don't mind but for his b'day I asked Slob to give you a slap on the head.

Edit: - when's the last time you went down Firefight's driveway?? Have those road works cleared up?? There was a heck of a lot more gravel than normal about 3+ weeks ago.

I could be in for this as I've never done SH 22.

Is anyone able to give me an idea of duration and distance?

Basically you are riding from the Autobahn to Hamilton via the back roads.

I think the distance one way will be around 120 +/- 30kms.

It should take around one hour or less if you're MR/FF,etc about two hours for us turtles.

Typical beautiful scenery and some lovely roads.

So say approximately a 5 hour ride, Autobahn-Autobahn.

Do you mean "The Worlds's Slowest Indian" ? Nah, mate just couldn't resist slipping that one in.

I should be able to make it - as long as I can convince the GSX-R to fire up..

did the 22 on tuesday and it was fine... just watch that bit where it says one lane. They have put down heaps of metal.

    otherwise it's basically just 22.
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

Can you strap the cow on the bike as pillion?

I'll donate $10 to spank me if you do. And so should everyone else.

Consider it done Swanny - although 'Daisy' likes to get around so she might need to be strapped onto your bike too!!
