Fork chroming and grinding in Aucks?

Left fork is starting to eat seals. Needs resurfacing/grinding/polishing/whatever the hell they do.

    Who's good
    where are they
and what's it going to cost?

Maybe I should sent it to the Antarctic? If it eats seals, those penguins would LOVE it!

    *bump* and...

What are the equivalent parts I could substitute in? GSXR fork... others?

How do I find the list of equivalent parts so I can have a ring around and get what I need? I only want the fork inner that matches the RF900RR, although a whole fork assembly would obviously do too...

Left fork if it's the whole fork.

Tarozzi also list them at $295.90AU each, but if you can get the pair rechromed for $350 that would be a better option

Top man - that's $360 NZ and avoids the inconvenience of taking the part out, faffing around getting the job priced up, possibly paying $350 (I have been warned it could be a lot more - and I only need one done)

    Fork tube (aka Stanchion) equivalents

I have the option of Rechroming or Replacing the left Stanchion of the RF.

I can get it rechromed for about $250 or so at Engine Components in Hamilton (recommended by a number of people, although I'm yet to try their services personally)...

or I can go for a replacement part.

Finding replacement parts for the RF is a challenge, but if I knew what other bikes had the same part in them I could search for that. Sooo...

How do I find out which bikes have stanchions I can interchange/use for an RF900RR

And for that matter, how do you find this out in general - is it knowledge help by some or is there a place you can look it up?

Cheers - I looked at the relist (asctually I was wrapped to see it there) and he cancelled the listing for some reason... dammit!

Thanks for the other help too. Tis a pain. The RF has 42 MM stanchions, and no other bike seems to!

Please - anyone, prove me wrong!

damn..been looking through ron ayers website trying to cross ref part numbers but nothing matches up which is unusual for suzuki as many different models use the same parts.
