I started building the R1 around the beginning of the year; the front cowl/mirrors, and one of the tripleclamps is all I've done so far, not sure how long it took me to do that, but there's still 14 odd A4 pages of bits to cut out.
I'll get around to finishing it one day when I have the time...

Their suggestion of using white glue was helpful, it worked surprisingly quickly. Just dab a small drop on the part using a toothpick, then hold the bits-to-be-glued together for only a few seconds, and the glue dries enough to hold it.

Yep late last year I colour laser printed out the R1 onto glossy card at work - came out real good. However I only got thru about 4 sheets before the my patience and motivation finally dried up. Don't under estimate how much work is involved in this. I even tried to rope my friends into helping but they soon lost interest after a few pieces.
I've still got my bits lying around waiting for a VERY VERY VERY rainy day.

I found that a sharp craft knife, PVA craft glue and superglue (for the "must stick now" bits) works best. I also did a test build of the engine first in B&W to perfect my technique before starting on the colour sheets.
