The apology was a good move, unfortunatly it came too late. What was said was bloody stupid regardless of your reasons. Next time, stop and think of what you are going to say before you say it, don't just say something like that.

Good work on the apology, but I think a phone call or a one on one talk would be better as this is really a personal thing and a few on KB should not be party to it as it seems to affect yours and other judgement.

    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Sending a PM as way of an apology is a bit pathetic and given JSG's attitude I doubt it's sincerety and motive.

SPB may be a bit of an outspoken and opiniated git online, as most of the stronger personalities on KB are, but he has not targetted JSG and his riding without due cause. He and I have been witness to some stupid antics by JSG and I know I have had words with JSG in person about, to receive the same attitude he displays online.

I never had any personal dislike of JSG until he put my safety at risk on a ride and when I spoke to him about it he was completely oblivious to what I was talking about.

Had he actually wound his neck in when a number of riders had words with him then he would not have been vilified and unwanted on rides. When I first met JSG I thought he was a decent guy, he probably is, as he comes across as articulate, intelligent and community minded at times. However he has taken peoples concerns and advise as a personal attack and turned it into a war of words and wills.

It's a shame really but until he changes his attitude or loses his licence then more and more people are gonna not want to ride with him and it will be only a matter of time before he needs to sell his bike to pay for dental work.

I hope SPB does not leave, he's a cunt but a good one and I for one enjoy the differences of opinion on this site. If we all agreed then I think I'd be reading the Womans Day website at work, if they have one.

after talking to SPB on the phone today it would appear that it is not this that has caused him to leave the site, but rather the reason he was sinbinned for on the weekend - i dont know the whole story so im not going to comment.

But it is sad to see him go, luckily i've spend enough time with the old bastard for him to become a mate and i know that i'll be seeing him again in the future.

The story of the man is a long and interesting one, and in his time he has had his fair share of lessons learnt. In my eyes he is a bit of hero for the way he has turned certain parts of his life around - things i wouldnt know had i not ever met him. Just like the mental illness adds say - know him before you judge him.

Ujwal/JSG, its decent of you to apologize but the major thing that has never got through to you is you attitude with riding. Sure, you seem all too keen to receive information/advice to improve both the quality and safety of your riding, but you have never seemed to actually take it on board and process it - had this been done im sure none of his would have eventuated.

Personally I would love to see the tail end of this shit, it's obviously twisted a lot of peoples knickers, and im sure that some won't forgive you. Call me Italian because i dont hold a grudge, but you were stupid, you've admitted it, and for this time i (sort of) forgive you for what you have done. However, should your attitude towards the improvement of your riding not improve i will probably not want to ride with you again - sure it doesnt scare you/whatever, but you know im a nice guy and i honestly cant hold a grudge so for me to not want to see/ride with you is pretty serious mate.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

    Boobs and ten characters

People are just being melodramatic, they enjoy a good rant, I can't see what all the fuss is about.
