Good little bike I thought. I had one for my learners, and a bit of the restricted. They have enough power for you to break the law, but not quite enough to get you into trouble too quickly. Also, the lack of power compared to the cbr and zxr makes it easier in the wet.
You can ride a zzr250 to and perhaps slightly beyond its limits once you have been riding for a few months. Also, I found mine to move around a bit (then again, weigh around 100kg) in the corners, so instead of getting used to a perfect handling bike, you get used to having to work the bike a bit.
Just watch out if you crash it. The bike may have been made, with barely any changes for around 14 years I think, but parts cost a shitload. The one I remember is indicators. One solid unit, first thing usually to get broken in an off, and $71 each![]()

DON'T RIDE LIKE YA STOLE IT, RIDE TO SURVIVE.
I managed to get myself a 2005 gsx, it's great at handling and it does look like a bigger bike. My mates Hyosung gt250r is the same in that respect, If you took away the markings people stuck inside 4 wheeled (and aiming for you all the time) wouldn't be able to tell.
Welcome Saint. Hope you enjoy the site and good luck on getting your first mount.
