    This is a long thread

Well it is Saturday and raining and I'm bored at home.

It is interesting that this thread is so long as it reflects the interest that we all have in what we all do to make a living.

There also seem to be a high incidence of IT types and a reasonable number of tradesmen too.

I like a few others I am neither of the above. I am 36 and have a philosophy that mundaness is death. I don't believe in the "carpe diem" stuff and all that pop philospohy, but professional boredom is just the worst.

My first job was an Army officer (Artillery), then a commercial diver, then a marina manager, then a dive instructor, then a yacht technician/skipper, then a marina manager, then a dot com administrator, then a boat builder, and currently a buyer for a boat yard. I did these jobs in England, Germany, Carribean, New Zealand.

Goes without saying that I like the sea and intend to sail round the world starting in a few years. Any one want to come?

I've only been sailing a few times, loved it tho.... looking into doing something with Penny Whiting maybe...

Not sure about around the world, but maybe we can go sailing, once I know what rope is what... I think it would be fun!!!
