I used to do residential noise control also, but now that is contracted out to a security firm. While I enjoy a bit of loud music myself, I once served a notice on the local mongrel mob (with a Police escort of course).

Oh yeah, I considered doing acoustic consulting to verify vehicle noise levels, with all the hoohaa about boy racer's exhausts etc, but considering the limits are pretty low (85dBA from memory) MOST if not all aftermarket exhaust systems would fail anyway.
I too am in the Environmental field, but I work in with 4 large companies in the manufacturing side, cleaner production etc..
And one of the companies makes DUCT TAPE !!
Yeah, it comes off the coater in 25,000 meter reels 1200mm wide !

Music manager at a jukebox manufacturer/exporter.
which basically means i have to listen to lots of crap music (HipHop sux) and keep our customers happy by supplying them custom playlists/updates etc..
    IT man for said company
which means when some idiot breaks it, I gotta fix it.
And the better half is a part time phone answerer for a welly and Auck jukebox hire company.
yes, we build them and sell them to ourselves.

so if you're having a party, it might pay to talk to me so i can get you a deal

also am an ex spraypainter if you bike needs a coat or two (or 5 and a few of clear)

Well for a bit of varity this Winter (from Horses Shoeing), I have been pulling tits twice a day (80 nipples at anyone time, and getting up to 800 nipples each shift), and teaching the young how to suck (around 80 of those little buggers now). Would enjoy it more if it was not for the 5am wake-up, and all the shit that gets flung at me on a daily basis.
But on the + side I get to ride the company bike daily . A big powerfull CT125 (must admit I'm enjoying playing in the mud with it, but it would be better if the company director got the front wheel bearings fixed (front wheel wobbles like you wouldn't beleave ). Font brakes work (just, only because I worked on them, although he did pay for the replacement cable).
Well better Fu*k-off, 800 nipples are waiting for me

    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.
