Aha - This I will engage!
(Just not life and death on a phosphor screen).

You're stuck in the myth of Harley unreliability.
14,000km and hasn't missed a beat on the Tractor and the T'bird has done the last 100,000km with nothing more than Oil, filters and a bad coil.

It's yer Alitalia making a forced landing old bean.

How would the greens solve any problems in the real world.

See possums are a threat to our clean green image, but they are not willing to reduce this threat as all options to kill them are viewed as not green.

Dogs can't be humane by definition.
    They're dogs

We have ourselves to blame for the possum plague of course, and this goes beyond Goverments as the bounty plan was ongoing through party changes. There was such good money to be made from possums that the hunters were catching and rereleasing, regenerating their cash cow....

So you'd teach kids to shoot, with decent disciplined weapons handling I hope, including maintaining their weapons, but you won't let them kill a possum with a hammer?

Pardon me, but weapons are for.... I know, Killing! Crikey.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

The whole "Humane" thing is a load of shit, from a physiological viewpoint.
Generally, severe injury, such as being torn apart by wild animals is painless. As long as the victim dies of the injuries within 10 minutes or so.
People who have been shot report the feeling to be like a dull impact .
    The same for being stabbed.
I have had a leg crushed between a car and a bike, and the pain ,initially was not that bad.
Pain is a message to remove a creature from the cause of that pain.
If the damage is so severe that getting away is pointless, the brain doesn't process the messages.

Wow - evolution must be bitchin' here!
It would take millions of years for a possum to evolve into a cow back home.

There must be some sort of biological control. Look at the koala bear - it faced/faces extinction because it has a strain of clamidia (sp?) effecting the entire species.

I know there are some shockers in the history of biological control, (prickly pear and the cane toad eg) but surely science can give 'em all the clap or something?

I guess it also depends on how much 'Lord of the Flies' was involved?
