    Question Exhaust Question

The muffler on my GSXR has had a piece of stainless rivited round it. The rivits are leaking :slap: (no suprise there)
I can get a cheap muffler off a CBR1100XX for it.
Will it be too big for the little GSXR250, will it hurt the engine or affect performance from lack of back pressure?

A CBR1100XX pipe is HUGE and weighs more than your bike... Might be easier and cheaper to make one yourself, or get someone too...

If your leak is just from the rivets, you should be able to drill them out and replace with a larger size. Use a smear of hi-temp silicone under the hat part of the rivet for extra goodness.

The can isnt in the best condition, its 16 years old. And the stainless thats rivited to its a bit scratched up.
Whats the cheapest option to replace it? Have a look around wreckers etc?

Its an old bike/can, just use some silicon to seal around it. Or get another new can, depends on the condition of your wheels, and mileage etc.
