i've also studied a little bit of law.

what part of the privacy/crimes/summary offences/fish and chip act relates to not taking photos of damaged grass, that just happens to have a picture of someone doing the damaging it in it? especially after warning said person that these photos may be taken, and any such photos may be passed onto a 3rd party?

and it's not that our opinions are different, you are paraphrasing law, we're arguing that you're wrong. you could always point us to the law you are referring to, then if we're wrong, we'll accept it and go away.

Well you just go help Wellyman take that 'slander' case to a few lawyers and tell me just how many of them laugh you out of their offices...

I did read the whole post. My understanding of a designated walkway is that it goes from boundary fence to boundary fence. So although you may be riding on the grass, it is still a walkway, and therefore still illegal. Maybe some our boys in blue on this site can elaborate.
    Time to ride

    In your own words:

Are suggesting the principle is being slanderous? *cough*

I'm not taking any genuine slander case in jest. My point was simple = you could not, in any practical sense, use slander as any form of legal recourse in this case, irrespective of either person(s) actions invloved with this "grass verge" incident. Any legal professional can tell you that.

Why don't you just settle down before you say something really stupid.

As one of Hitcher's sacred knights of pedantry, I care.

It doesn't matter whether you're talking about a photo of him which may or may not exist, or damage which he may or may not be causing. Slander does not apply.
