    Reversing rep

I gave someone a red rep for a post. If the person changes the post - how do I then remove the red rep. I'd prefer to remove it rather than balance with a green or whatever.

don't try balance it.. if someone made a bad call on a post, received bad rep, then changed it, that's how it's supposed to be.. if you get bad rep for a post, the reasonable thing to do is look over the post that you did, and if you think "wow, maybe i shouldn't have said that", change it.. but just because someone *had a crash and learnt from it doesn't mean they didn't have a crash*

what about if i dont change the post? .. first of all.. as i said .. it was a line from a movie that i used as a bit of a pisstake and you didnt see the humor.. no big deal.. i dont care.. 2 red rep points dont matter stuff all to me ..which brings me to point #2..

getting a red rep is not going to make me lose sleep.. i actually have a life including a wonderful wife, a pack of big strong boys and a bike that i love to ride and not just talk about how fucking fast i am on it on KB

in conclusion.. i dont live my life to make anyone like me or impress anyone .. if you dont .. i dont give a shit either way.... just drop it and move on..

Well, since you seem to think its important to raise the issue in public, as I said in the PM, if you modify the post and show it as a quote from a movie in the context that it was originally portrayed, then I dont have a problem with it. But the way you portrayed it, doesnt come across like that 'for those that didnt recognise it as a movie quote'.

As I said, I felt you had used derogatory cultural references in your post and I would have appreciated if you changed the post. I'm wasnt forcing you to change your post, you are quite within your rights to leave it as you see fit. I just said that if you do, i'll try and get the red rep I gave you removed.

Whether you respect the dignity of others is not something thats up to me to police, thats your own free choice.

I believe in the universal declaration of human rights, and while I get it wrong more often than not and expect people to pull me up on it, likewise, one has to make an effort as well.

But perhaps the preamble to the charter might be worth a read.

Red rep, green rep. It's not worth anything in real life. If you read the thing it says "I agree" or "I disagree". So what if your opinion is different to someone elses? Uoy're entitled to an opinion...

There isn't enough red rep in this world as it is. Too many softies. If you gave a red then that's life.

    Arrow How pathetic.

Red rep pffft. I used to care, but now much like Sarge, I have a life that has put things into perspective. Pointless drivel anyone?

I gave someone a red-rep by accident once. I figure it's not like I shagged their wife or anything and got over it real quick. Suggest you do the same.

ok.. here is a quick guide to help everyone understand how much any one persons personal opinion of me matters...

    are you family?
have we ever served in the military together?
have you purchased a bike from me or recommended anyone to me that has?
have you ever helped me with my bike?
havew you ever bailed me out of jail or taken me to the hospital?

if you can answer YES to any of those .. your opinion matters...

    if not...

Not together, but for the same side.

    You have a short memory

have you ever helped me with my bike?

Does giving you the learn count?

If you don't honor my MV warranty, you'll be going to the hospital alright.

I guess I'm in then huh?

I know it's a war movie - either platoon or FMG?, sounds like something a gunny would say in basic training, so I'll go for Full Metal Jacket?

[Edit:] I thought the post was funny, but I'm not a "nigger, kikes, wops, greasers" or towel head. If he had also said honky, whitey or similar I would have also laughed. Call the UN quick.....
