Wanted - Suzuki GN250, I wanna ride NOW!!

So, what does one usually move on up to once the Gn250 gets sold? My aim is to ride a bit of adventure riding and want the bike to be able to handle the bumps and roads of the South Island...
This is what I am considering...

Suzuki V Strom DL 650 or 1000...
Triumph Tiger 2007 model 1050 cc, bit steep in price....
BMW, 650 or greater....
I have also been put towards the Yamaha TDM.....There are plenty of choices out there, and I do want seriously ride, long and short and time away....

Any help from graduating newbies would be great. What did you get into after finding the excitement of riding the outdoors?

The main thing is the availability to take it off road to a certain degree and have the luggage options...

i would suggest you start another thread for this... then those with the knowledge to help you more be more likely to find your question.
Personally, i'd be more inclined to look at a yamaha XT or if you can afford it, an aprilia sxv550

The v-strom has a very good rep and very user freindly.....good al rounder.
I have also done some miles on a tiger and was very impressed.
