Good to catch ya Martin, sure you will get faster as the series goes on and your get to grips with the new bike, nice mate. You had a good battle going on with Stu on a R6? in the first race.

Yeah, Led him the whole race, then he passed me through the ss's. I stuffed up coming out of the hairpin and was in the wong bloody gear!
Then nearly smacked into the back of him coming to the finish line. I was soo pissed of with myself! No matter..
Watch out Stu! It wont be the same next round

I was breaking real early and wasnt powering out soon enough. Was actually only the 2nd time id ever ridden a 600. Apart from Dans ZX6r for a 5min ride, i havnt ever ridden one.

    Ok people...

Morning started pretty good. Weather was pretty poo, but was still looking forward to taking the new bike out on the track. As i had only just got the bike on Friday.
Went out to practice/qualify, was a little held back but the track was dry, so confidence was higher than earlier on.
Started off, making sure the tyres had grip and brakes worked etc.
Then thought id better hurry up and speed up!
was still breaking pretty early and not coming out of the corners in the right gear, but the bike felt good. And sounded even better!
Managed to qualify in 18th. Which by KB stardards, is not the high, but im happy with it.
Race 1, i got a good start and was right on the inside. Went right through the patches of gravel and sand, was tryong not to lock the front and take everyone out, so went in a little slow, which cost me coming out.
Was going round and round then on the final lap, got taken on the inside coming into Castrol. I thought no biggy ill just carry a bit more speed into the hairpin and draft my way past on the middel straight. But instead i decide to come out in too higher of a gear and not get the drive out that i needed! What a simple mistake!!! Am still kicking myself.
Stay with him till the sweeper, and try to go outside coming onto the finish straight. Nearly smack into the rear end of his bike then if id kept going the way i did, i would have been in the wall! In the end, i started in 18th, and finished in 18th. So could have been worse.

Race 2, Wets time! Was pissing down!
Got an ok start, could have been better. I dont mind the rain so was still in the same place but closer to people in front of me.
Was just starting to feel good, and out comes the red flag. BUGGER! Was catching the others, and was confident i would have passed at least 2 others.
No matter. Got 14th in that race.

Race 3, never happened. Was raining too hard.

In the end, i got to know the new bike a bit better, had a ball, stepped up in F2.
Id liketo thank Motomart for all their support,
Capital Chem Dry for their truck and transport,
Motul oil. You can prob guess what for.

And my mates for their support!

See you all at the next round!
Bike should look a bit prettier then.
