Putting money into helping people eat right is a good thing - it's got to be cheaper on society than pouring money into liposuction or similar when they start tipping the scales at 200kgs.

* Have you seen the price of gas? My Merc is costing $112 to fill and I'm using 2 tanks a week, the only way to get good mpg is to sit at 150 and the traffic is almost stopped. How are we going to afford expensive strippers and the newest merc if we have to pay $1.70 odd of gas. We need a pay raise but we can't be too obvious, so we are going to take pitty on the patty munchers an say we want to help them, stash $76 and hey presto, pay raises for the next 4 years. Hell, if someone wants to be obese, I say let them be. I don't know why everyone is obsessed with protecting people from themselves.

Same with seat belts, I personally think once someone is 18 or over they can choose to wear seat belts. I personally would wear them at all times, and make sure that anyone that I care about would too, but why the hell should be INFORCE a law to protect people from themselves?

I agree with promoting healthy eating at school, not having fast food restaurants near schools etc but once they grew up, they can do whatever they like and take the consequences.

People just don't need to be rapped up in a big bubble wrap once they reach an age where they can be responsible for their own actions.

I used to work at Wendy's Constallation drive... it was still too expensive...
