    Is there life beyond KB?

Well, after a "domestic disagreement" early last month, about the amount of time on spent on KB, I took a voluntary "holiday" from the site. About 6 weeks I've been gone, and I stayed off the site, apart from a brief visit to log out.

The first couple of days were the worst. The withdrawal symptoms were terrible - I kept sitting down at the computer wanting to check for new posts and messages.

Every time I went on the 'net, I automatically skimmed down my favourites to KB. I didn't click on though.

The withdrawal symptoms eased, but didn't stop. However, I think I've broken the addiction, and it's now time to drop in to say hello.

So what have I been doing while away? Well, the first thing I can advise that THERE IS LIFE BEYOND KB! Repeat - THERE IS LIFE BEYOND KB!

The one big difference I noted - sitting at the computer to do paperwork for the business was of much shorter duration - an invoicing run that was taking 6 hours, could actually be done in under 3 hours. The lesson learnt - KB doesn't really run in "the background".

It appears that I missed out on a good KB ride last weekend - my only regret so far. Sorry guys - next time!

RSS is your friend. Use firefox, add the RSS feed to your bookmarks toolbar, and you can see new thread titles pop up as they are started and you can choose which one to dip into from the drop down.

What we need is a sub-forum for "KBaholics". It would be used by around 10% of KBer's, with the other 90% being in denial....

My partner told me just the other day that she is a KB widow. And that after only a few months of me being in here. I figure she used to be an Army wife, so she'll get over it.

    Don't worry, You're not alone.

My wife has Mcleods daughters once a week. I have motorcycle regalia, KB is a vast component of this regalia. Is it a fair trade? I dunno... But she is slowly getting addicted.... Muhahaha

the only life is KB or biking. it's one or the other, or revolving round one or tuther. My boss said to me to stop wasting company time on KB. Lasted 3 days. I could loose my job or at least get disciplined on it, but I just have no work to do, so what do I do? Load up KB..

    Mmph.

Amazing how much I get done now that work has blocked KB at the proxy server and I can only log on at home when SWMBO is out of town.

Top tip: don't give up on Umberto Eco just because The Name of the Rose was a top-heavy twaddle-fest. The Island of the Day Before is proving quite lighthearted and witty.

Maybe he read my review on amazon.com and repented of his Joycian pretenses.
