I started an identical thread last week, probly on pg2 by now.

Ill be there with bells on as with every year. The best rally of the year in my humble opinion. The missis will be back in the wet t hoping to colect more prize money (read beer money)

Heres the guff for anyone wanting to go...

    Where: Waipawa, near Hastings
    When: 12, 13, 14 May
Price: $30 pre paid or $35 at the gate
    Contact number: (06) 857 7273

Open to all bikers, the usual rally rules... No glass, byo or patches.

15 acres of camping area with reasonable bar rates and plenty of good greasy food avaliable on site. (none of that caravan crap) Two bands playing each night, along with the wet t comp and usually strippers. Plenty of games, so you can watch drunken lunatics drop their bikes and smoke some rubber. Often a hellicopter turns up selling rides as well.

There is a short thunder run on saturday followed by a poker run for those that arnt too hung over. The thunder run is truly a sight to behold... 1800 odd bikes on a closed road...

One of the best rallys on the calander folks, well worth the ride to the sunny bay.

Will be riding up from Wgtn on the Sat morning, leaving Newlands at approx 8am, Upper hutt 8.30. Route up will depend on the weather, If wet will be fairly direct route, If dry will include Pahiatua, Pongaroa, Wimbledon, Porangahau with a stop at Hum n Buzz Cafe in Waipawa for lunch.
At this stage will be 4 to 6 bikes
If you're not living on the edge you're not leaning over far enough
