    Thinking of getting leathers

I'm thinking of getting some leathers, was at the local bike shop, they had a couple of one piece suits for under a 1000 bucks still more than I can afford at the moment, would try and see if I could lay-by them, would have to get new boots to go with them, my dryrider gear is good, but I,m thinking good to have a second lot of riding gear and the leather race type suit look's the go, but then you get called a poseur and that puts me off, what do you's think leathers or just get another set DR gear.

Others will have their views (Minotaur leathers) but I bought QUASiMOTO leathers, and they're f*cking great!! Really comfy, good fit, and from all accounts (on here) good in a bin.
    $280 for pants
    $320 for jackets
    $80 for gloves
    $200 for boots.
$700 for the one piece suits.

Nope I don't get a discount or nuthin'. Shit I prolly won't even get a beer. In my book it's just good to get good gear.

I've got a one piece suit and while it's great for riding it's a pain in the backside when you stop somewhere. Plus there's no pockets. I would suggest getting a 2 piece suite.

Nothing but abstinence beats leather for protection.

Quasi's leather goods are really good quality but what's with the oval holes in the arse cheeks for?

No no, you're confusing the pants with chaps!! You need to stay away from Manpower shows!

When My wife decided that she would like a two piece leather suit we went to 9 different bike shops (5 in Christchurch, 2 in Dunedin, 2 in Alexandra) and none of them had anything suitable. Then we went to Leather Image in Christchurch, a fasion leather stroe, and they had the best selection of bike leathers that I have seen for years.

Almost all of the bike shops had some leather gear, but it was mainly 1 piece road racing gear, and they all wanted to sell my wife Cordura gear rather than leather. So if you want good leather gear look at places other than bike shops. You may just be suprised.
    Time to ride

Have to agree with that. If you're gonna do heaps of trackdays then look at a one peice, but a 2 peice is so much better for the road with the occasional trackday.
Finns right about the protection as well, I don't feel 100% comfortable in anything else.
It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off
