    VMCC Race Report

Well what tosay a bad weekend for me basically sums it up

Practice I made it out but didnt get a full lap in due to temp problems so had to finish it on back of grid

    Race 1
get out to first race feeling amped for it sitting on the line watching Craig with the Flag holding the bike at 10,000 RPM letting the clutch just bite craig drops it I slip the clutch like crazy and lean over the front wheel leaving Sam and William behind off the line then just asI am pacing it down to turn 1 a RG150 sits right were I want to be so I go for the inside line entering this I am passed by my bro I had to tighter line and was going to almost stall on the exit but then my line is taken from me by my brother not his fault I decide to pick it up and head off the track into the dirt
Tense momments right now thinking heres my first 125 crash what damage somehow I manage to stop safely with the engine running and rejoin about20 secinds behind everyone I think I took a toilet stop
The rest of this race consists of alot of panic breaking trying to catch up to everyone
The last lap I catch up to Bert and pass him out of the Sweeper and come acrosstheline second to last

    Race 2:

Leave pit lane look down at choke to see fuel pissong every were add thefuel line back on again and head out to the race just about missed and end up behind pace car lucky I try my brakes down the Denny Holme straight to find out what brakes I forgot to bleed myfront brakes in a rush so I pump them during the warm up lap until they pressurize again I get to the line to see a couple of 125s sweet I reallystuff this start up cause just as I let the clutch bite Craig drops the Flag
Shit I start slipping it to be swarmed up by the 150 field I end up riding like a grandma since its cold and just played around with Bert Passing him down the straights and then he would pass me in the corners remined me of my 150 days when I raced against Racey Rider
This race I end up finishing 3rd

My points gave me enouh to take 3rd on the day

I would like to thank my sponsers

2004 - I was at a race with a motor with a BROKEN PORT WINDOW!
only had half the power of nothin, which is why you were passing me on the straights.

    Good on you Ivan.

I admire that fact that you 'keep on keeping on' despite the sh*t we give you!

    Keep at it.

Nah pretty sure there wouldn't have been that many, only about 13 or so showed up at nationals. Might have been around 10 though, ivan?

Well done Ivan, but I must admit to being intrigued by your decision to head off the track into the dirt. Why did you decide to do this rather than just change your line and stay on the track? You may have gained even more points.

He was most likely at full lean angle, and to fix the problem may have meant to lean more that he is comfortable?
