    Get well soon Frosty.

This was an incredibly unfortunate incident that could have involved any one of the four of us out on the track at that time.

I believe it was purely bad luck that this has occurred but I would like to see Taupo track management consider an alternate means of closing the pit lane - either not at all or with some kind of obvious marking. It was very late in the day and light was fading fast - it would have been impossible to have seen the chain from any distance.

I thought the same thing when Frosty suggested closing the "gate" during sessions. I could just see someone late getting out tearing down the pitlane before anyone could stop them and missing the chain across the track.

Thanks for the text updates Tony, get well soon mate. I feel bad about black flagging ya in your first session now.

Actually, no I don't. Tha was funny as fuck.

This is another case of "Only in New Zealand". What the hell are they doing using a friggen chain to close off the pitt lane knowing the track is used for bikes??? They should have a gate for fucks sake.

Some lazy sod probably wanted to go home early.

Frostly is incredibly lucky. Hope he's okay.

Take it easy Frosty, and I hope you return to full function ASAP. Well not full function, but like you were before

Definitely won't catch me doing a track day at Taupo now, even if I could ever get it past SWMBO.

As Frosty himself said, just lucky it wasn't one of the girls. Guys are natural bigger, stronger and tougher. If Keystone or Velox (both are slim wee things) hit it they most likely wouldn't have gotten up. Andrews Stroud most likely would've hit it faster, although he turns off into the carpark normally rather than going through the pits.

Frosty in chains IN PUBLIC??.......... nasty! - i mean, isn't this the sort of thing that should only happen between consenting adults and their bikes in the privacy of their own garages??

seriously, Fella ---- glad you were only "shaken, not stirred" and it gets sorted quickly... [ie don't make me come over there bearing grapes!!! ]

Was none of us on bikes there that did it. Frosty went up and down the pit lane shouting to everyione there that "the girls are gonna go out and give stroudy the learn" We all knew they were still out there and wouldn't have done the chain up. My guess would be one of the young flag marshals thinking the day was over.

Anyway Frosty heal well and soon.

Ouch... not sure how fast he was coming into the pitlane but sounds like it was fast enough to do some damage.
Hope those responsible do the right thing and sort out the costs of this mess.
    Here's to a speedy recovery.
