Hope all goes well mate. What a bummer.
Hit a bull chain on my Suki 250 when I was 18. Doing a runner from an amorous cop down a favourite alley and didn't see the chain in the dark till my headlight picked it out. Going to quick and hit it about fork level. Thankfully the bike speed snapped the chain but it dented my tank and ripped a side cover clean off. Could have easily got my leg.
Rather nasty way to seal off a pit lane on a track????![]()
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.

Bloody ell...I think it has all been said...........Take care Tony.
All the best to Tony and thanks to the guys who are posting updates.
After all the work Frosty put in to organise this event it just dosnt seem right that this should happen. Still, I guess it could be worse so here's to a speedy recovery.

Actually I have a comment to make about the marshals. Now I was a guest to the track and only went out twice but I noted the marshal in the tower close to Pit lane was holding the yellow flag out when a bike dropped a load of oil at the S's. That's good but that same person had his/her head down on their arms leaning on the wall of the tower looking down at their feet and was unable to see the track or what was happening. So why do I mention this...well if Tony is going to pay for marshals they have to be more aware of what is going on at all times. If that was the attitude of this marshal when we had a hazard on the track could they be so relaxed and keen to go home that they never thought about what they were doing should they have been the ones to put the chain up? If yes and they were paid to be at the track I think questions need to be answered. Anyway that is up to Tony and I do not want to start a witch hunt but I was a bit disappointed to see that from paid marshals.
Also I was only a guest at the track and with that in mind I will not continue this but get well soon Tony.
Paid marshalls? They looked like kids to me.
darn Frosty the Gods look after you
safe journy home mate
make sure you rest & recouperate
They still cant keep a good man down
asked Mom if I was a gifted child ... she said they certainly wouldn't have paid for me.
Eeeew, not great loss there, I can't stand the taste of asophagus. Nasty little sticky green vegetables.Originally Posted by ajturbo
